May 8, 2010, Mountain View, CA /--, ReadWriteWeb Mobile Summit's at the Computer History Museum, had a session on "Speed Geeking" led by Marshall Kirkpatrick and Kaliya Hamlin. Each company did their 'pitch' in five minutes and people chose which session to attend based on their own interests and expertise. The companies on the list included: CallFire, WorldMate, My City Way, IPEVO, Google Goggles, Burn, Micello, Newsy, Mixmobi, Stalqer, Mogotix, Blog Talk Radio's Cinch, Justin.tv (which was broadcasting on-site btw), Geodellic, and Yapper.

at Web 2.0 Expo's Speed Dating Event for Promising Start-Ups and Prominent VCs

May 5, 2010, San Francisco, CA /--  At this year's Web 2.0 Expo, Zoosk is helping to connect start-ups with the investment community. Zoosk's VC and start-up speed dating session provides a fun and unique forum for enthusiastic start-ups to pitch their ideas one-on-one with a VC. Each start-up will get the chance to 'flirt' with up to four VCs during the matchmaking program and will be given three minutes of undivided attention each. To qualify, the company must be a start-up or entrepreneur looking for seed or additional funding.

SachManya CEO, Chintu Parikh, got the most dates from the VCs at the event where sixteen promising startups from all the world participated to get attention from top-tier VCs. At the end of the event, Chintu Parikh was interviewed by David Berlind, TechWeb.com editor-in-chief for an Inofrmation Week cover story: Develop iPhone, iPad, Android And BlackBerry Apps With Just A Browser. Also, San Francisco Chronicle reporter and leading technology blogger Zennie Abraham interviewed Chintu at Zoosk Party in the evening.

AT&T "Open Call - Apps For All!" Contest for Application Developers at 2010 CTIA

March 23, 2010, Las Vegas, NV/ --Continuing its commitment to openness and innovation, AT&T* today announced the fifth annual “Open Call - Apps For All!” contest, taking place at the CTIA Wireless convention in Las Vegas March 23-24. Designed to identify the country’s most innovative wireless applications, the “Open Call - Apps For All!” contest is an evolution of AT&T’s Fast-Pitch contest held at CTIA for the past four years.

Developers of the best applications and content will be rewarded with cash prizes, exclusive marketing opportunities, and earn the coveted title of 2010 Open Call winner. The contest is divided into four categories: Brew Mobile Platform (BMP), Android, Java & RIM, and an “Open” category reviewing applications and content of all platforms. AT&T will award a total of $40,000 in cash prizes, $10,000 to a winner in each of the four categories.

NAVTEQ Announces Finalists and Judges Panel for 2010 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge(R) in North America Region
