What is YAPPER and how does it work Does YAPPER build native iPhone, Android, iPad apps? Yes. YAPPER uses the information and artwork that you provide us through our online WYSIWYG tool to build native iPhone, Android and iPad versions of the apps. Our developers, who have worked at companies such as Yahoo, Apple, Sun Microsystems and HP, have developed a patented, efficient and smart way to quickly build the apps from the information that you provide to develop the native code and submit that to the Apple’s App Store and Google’s Android Market. Are YAPPER apps different from Xcode based iPhone apps or Android based native apps? No. We built apps with native Xcode and Android programming languages. Unlike some other services, there is no additional layer of proprietary language or framework included in YAPPER apps. After I complete my app on YAPPER and make the payment, what happens next? Thanks very much for your business. Next we will check your submission, build and test your app. If everything looks good we will then submit the app to the app store/s. Otherwise we will contact you with our questions. Based on the current volume the estimated turnaround time is 5 business days. Where is YAPPER physically located? All our staff is located within the United States with most them being in the Silicon Valley (San Francisco Bay area). That’s main reason why we can offer a quick turnaround on building the apps.
What is RSS? RSS, also known as Really Simple Syndication, is a web feed that creates a standardized form to update information such as news headlines, blogs, audio, pictures, and more. What versions of RSS feeds do you currently support? While the other versions of RSS feeds might work ok, we have tested and recommend RSS 2.0, ATOM and Feedburner feeds. We are currently working on RSS 0.9, Youtube and Flickr Feeds. If for some reason your feed doesn't process or has some issues rendering correctly in the iPhone preview (which is on the right hand side), please fill out the support form and remember to include your feed URL so we can resolve the issue & get back to you. Do you provide app analytics? Once your app is approved and listed in the app store/Android market we will provide a secure access to information about your app downloads, free of cost. What happens after one year of service?After we just charge you for hosting your content (content hosting is required for fast download of your content to mobile devices and offline browsing on the content). How long will take to see my apps in the App Store or Android Market? We typically take five business days to build, test and summit your app to Apple App Store and Google’s Android Market. Apple takes anywhere from a week to three weeks to approve and publish the app and Google usually takes a few days to approve and publish the apps. I am an iPhone developer; can I submit a YAPPER app under my developer license and my name? Yes. Please select publish to your developer account option on the Step 4 Options page. We will send you the instructions for getting your developer certificates once we build the app.
How do I pay for my YAPPER app and what happens if I want to discontinue using it? You can purchase your app through PayPal and cancel your subscription and monthly hosting fee at anytime through your PayPal account. How much will it cost to build my own YAPPER app? The price of your app will vary depending on the type of app and services you select. Instant app – Free to create for iPhones and has a $9 monthly subscription fee (first month is free) All other app types – Onetime setup fee for each platform (iPhone, Android, and Backberry) selected for the app to publish to. Each platform has its own monthly subscription fee but the first month is still free! Both the 360 News component and the Inapp Bookstore component has a onetime setup fee for each platform.
